Summary: Born to Beat, or BtoB, debuted on March 22, 2012 with seven members: EunKwang, MinHyuk, ChangSub, HyunSik, Peniel, IlHoon, and SungJae. They first appeared on television in “Amazon (Idol Master Zone).” They were also supposed to have a “Lee MinWoo” in their group, but due to health problems, Cube announced he was not able to debut with them. MinWoo was later confirmed to debut in C-Clown.

I would like to start this band info session with an apology. I’ve been insanely busy with school, and also just got a new job that, by the time I get home, I don’t want to do anything but breathe. o(_ _)o So, I, Redeim, apologize for the delays. Velexa was smart and set up a queue, in order to make me look bad. Ha ha Regardless, I bring you this little gem of one of my favorite rookie groups of the 2012 year! (even though I can’t really name-to-face anyone but SungJae. OTL)

Ugh. What can’t I say about BtoB? I instantly fell in love with them because Insane was so freaking catchy. Not to mention SungJae, who reminded both Velexa and I of Seo InGuk, immediately caught our eyes and even though Velexa claimed him, he was also my original bias. With their second comeback, I fell in love with SungJae all over again, but this time, EunKwang also caught my eye. I love these guys, even when it makes me a pedo-noona to do so. *sigh* These guys have been going, going, going, and I fully support them and wish them luck in their future endeavors!

Summary: Ailee was born Lee YeJin in New Jersey, USA. She debuted on February 8, 2012.  Ailee got her start on YouTube singing R&B hits because her friends said her voice was really good.  For a while before her Korean debut, she was with an independent music label called Muzo Entertainment.  She collaborated with several artists, including Johnnyphlo and Decipher.  In 2010, Ailee decided to move to Korea to pursue her music career and also to get closer to her roots.  She is with YMC Entertainment, but has collaborated with WheeSung more than once, including on WheeSung’s title track “They Are Coming.”  She got her acting debut with Dream High 2, playing a member of fictional girl group HershE.  (Velexa here!  Redeim forgot to link you guys to Aliee’s discography, so here it is!)

What to say about Ailee?  Hmm… I know at first, Velexa and I both were very, very annoyed with Heaven.  We hated it, and henceforth, hated her.  It wasn’t until we decided to watch an Immortal Song clip with JaeBum and Ailee interacting.  Turns out she was pretty freaking adorable.  On top of that, Heaven was really growing on us (we had been buying Inkigayo DVDs from a place in our hometown, and Heaven kept being played).  So now we love her and you guys should love her too. 😀

Summary: Dal Shabet debut on January 3, 2011 with their highly annoying yet catchy song “Supa Dupa Diva” [insert Key reference here].  The members are Viki, Serri, Ah Young, JiYul, GaEun, and SuBin.  Their debut song was crowned the second most addicting song of 2011, as well as having the second most popular choreography.

 

I really, really don’t know what to say about Dal Shabet. Personally, the only song I like from them is Hit U.  I know Velexa has mentioned a favoritism (or identification ability disguised as favoritism) for Serri.  Just keep in mind these are only our opinions, don’t let that stop you lovely readers from learning more about the band!

Summary: B.A.P. (Best, Absolute, Perfect) is a six member boy group that debuted on January 26, 2012.  The members include Bang YongGuk, Kim HimChan, Jung DaeHyun, Yoo YoungJae, and Moon JongUp, and Zelo (Choi JunHong).  They debuted as a hip-hop group and also had a special on a TV Show called “Ta-Dah It’s B.A.P.!” Find their discography here.

Okay, I’ll keep it simple: Velexa and I have loved Bang since he had his solo.  Then he had a comeback and brought Zelo with him and even though Zelo’s born in 1996, (the jailbait alarm has. Been. Freaking. Rung.) We still loved Bang and loved Zelo (At the time, Velexa probably more than I).  Now that they’ve debuted with the four other members, I have no clue who’s who besides Bang and Zelo (not gonna lie).  Immediately, Velexa and I absolutely adored Warrior, and we also love their other songs on the album and can’t wait for them to have a comeback even though they only recently stopped promoting for a slower-beat song called “Secret Love.”

Summary: NS YoonG debuted as NS YoonJi around September 24, 2009 with her song “Head Ache.”  Her real name is Kim YoonJi and she was born on September 13, 1985.  She has since come out with four digital singles, two singles, and one mini-album. Find her discography here.

Velexa and I didn’t really acknowledge NS YoonJi until she came out with “Reason I Became a Witch.”  She never really stuck out to me, and managed to stay under my radar until the awesome song came into being.  She’s not of a bias of mine or anything, but I will definitely look out for any new songs from her.
